Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote form needs only six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, how you would describe your health, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and the term length. Those six answers are sufficient for the carriers to return their rates. We only ask for your name, address and detailed health history if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They represent the rates each carrier will quote for the health tier you selected, based on your answers. The carrier's underwriting process may confirm that tier, move you to a better one, or assign a different rate class. Quotes on this site are provided for comparison and information only; they are not an offer of insurance and do not guarantee a final price.

What happens when I click Apply?

Your answers carry forward into a secure application form on the carriers' platform. The form is prefilled with what you entered here, so you do not have to type it twice. You can save your work and return to it, and you sign your name electronically when you are ready. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance firm, processes the application on your behalf.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the benefit amount you want, and your health profile. Many insurers now offer accelerated underwriting for applicants within their age and coverage limits, using data from prescription records, driving history and other sources instead of a medical exam. Each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, might be needed, or is not necessary.

Is a longer term better?

A term should match the years when your household would struggle if your income disappeared: a mortgage that needs to be paid, children who still need support, a business loan. Longer terms lock in a rate for a longer period and cost more per month, but they give more certainty. You can compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms on this site for the same coverage amount.

Does this site sell my information?

We do not. The quote tool collects no personal information beyond the six fields it needs to fetch rates. We do not sell or share visitor information, we do not use tracking cookies, and our measurement is cookieless and privacy-first. See the privacy policy for details on what information is gathered and by whom.
